Caratnet is an engineering team based in the Taipei area, Taiwan, operating since 2013. We build web applications and take responsibility for how they run in production.
Our story
Why we work this way
We started in 2013 building and operating IPTV and mobile TV platforms. Our work has since moved to web applications, but the operator's mindset stayed: software isn't done until it runs reliably in production.
We've built and maintained systems for universities, public-sector organizations and businesses — and inherited plenty that other teams left behind.
The pattern was always the same: the code was finished, but nobody owned deployment, upgrades or security. Sites ran on outdated PHP, deployments were manual uploads, and problems surfaced only after something broke.
So we work differently. The team that writes the code also builds the pipeline, configures the server and stays reachable after launch.
